Friendsgiving Celebration

Happy Thanksgiving week everyone! It's such a fantastic time of year, that gentle slope into chilly fall weather after Halloween. We'd love to be outside, but the devastating Camp Fire that is wrecking havoc just north of us is keeping us indoors here in Sacramento. Our thoughts are with so many of the families we know are displaced, grieving, and scared after the events of the past week. It truly makes us think about what we're thankful for and how to hold it close.

One of the things most dear to our hearts are our friendships. Family is a given, but friends are often taken for granted, used and utilized when we need it most, and put aside when our lives get complicated. So we love to celebrate our friends with a "friendsgiving"; just a coming together of our "chosen family" that we lean on all year round. Dani is an Alumni of the Delta Gammas, and she made a few key pieces for their annual get-together.

This small celebration is easily done in your own home! Dani did a few small projects that really brought this tablescape together. The "friendsgiving" banner and "thankful" chalkboard are sweet, scripted touches that everyone loved, and chalk-painted mason jars made just the right minimal statement on the table. If you peek closely, the glasses on the table have the Delta Gamma letters! What cute touches have you made around your home for Thanksgiving? We'd love to know!
